Girls and the Blanket
Friday, October 5, 2001 - Dad's still being a slacker, staying home from work to spend time with the little ones. Dad was hanging out on the couch wrapped up in a nice snuggly blanket, when Hayley decided to join the party and got under the blanket, too.
We must be watching the Physics Channel or something, given that pensive look by Hayley.
Hayley and Shelby like to play this game called "Nap Time", where they snuggle up with or underneath a blanket, stick their thumbs in their mouths, and pretend to go to sleep. So when I snuggled with the blanket on the floor, Hayley rushed over to join in the game.
Of course, I couldn't resist poking at her, or tickling her, or something, so she jumped up and started laughing.
This, of course, attracted the attention of Shelby "I must not be left out of anything going on anywhere anytime" Fairchild, who rushed over to join in. The girls love to play with blankets, or curtains, or other things that hide them from each other. So, while it looks like Shelby is being a big meanie right here, they were actually both laughing hysterically.
I couldn't resist adding to the action.
Then I had them sit down and grabbed the camera, and said "look at Daddy"! Shelby hammed it up as usual, looking at Daddy and leaning as close to the camera as she can without getting up. Hayley, on the other hand, was nonplussed.
