On Sunday the 14th the Fairchild Family Circus (plus Grandma Suzanne) went apple picking in Woodstock, CT.  It's the longest ride we've taken with all 6 of us in the minivan, but it was pretty comfortable for everyone.  Daddy got the honor of sitting in the extra back seat next to Shelby, and got to watch Elmo and Teletubbies on the way home.

Here's the 5 Fairchilds (Courtney is nestled in the snuggly with Mommy) at Woodstock Orchards.

Courtney didn't technically pick any apples, and she pretty much slept the whole ride to and from Woodstock.  But we think she had fun.

Hayley and Mommy surrounded by Golden Delicious apples.  And, from Hayley's perspective, they sure are delicious!

Hayley chipped in and helped pick apples that Amy pointed out for her.  A few days ago we went raspberry picking (sorry - no pictures - dead batteries!), and Hayley was very good at picking those for Mommy, too.

Shelby got a lift from Daddy to get a nice high apple.

Shelby holding onto a Rome apple - this is actually a cooking apple, so she didn't get to eat any of this one.  Amy did collect about 150 pounds of these apples, however, so we'll be eating apple pies and apple crisp and apple butter and apple jam for the next several years.

Now Shelby's got a good eatin' apple!
