Tuesday October 2 was the big day - time to take little Courtney home!  The first step is to dress Courtney for the first time.  She wasn't necessarily uncooperative, but when you're used to older kids who are (for the most part) cooperative, dressing an infant is a whole new ballgame.

Amy's a pro, though, and after a couple minutes she's got her pants on.

Amy 1, Courtney 0!  And Courtney howls her disapproval!
Except for one sock, which couldn't be put on until the alarm bracelet was taken off by the nurse.  As soon as she was born she had an electronic bracelet put on, kind of like those thingys on the sweaters at clothing stores - they had the alarm sensors around all of the doors in the hospital.  The one difference was, when it was time for the band to come off, the nurse removed it by simply cutting the flimsy plastic band - in the department stores you at least need some kind of funky power tool to get the alarm thingy off!

Amy and her baby - ready to travel!

Courtney - signed, sealed, and ready to be delivered!  Technically, I guess she was delivered a couple days ago - now she's ready for the next big step - Minivan!

During this whole episode, the girls really pitched in and helped - by staying out of the way!

When we got home, pink balloons and streamers were waiting for us.  Thanks Grandma!

Safe and sound at home, Courtney snuggles up with Grandma.

Once Amy got home, however, she didn't let a brand new baby slow her down.  Courtney in one arm, she made sure the "Multiple Messenger" made it out on time.  The MM, by the way, is the monthly newsletter for the Mothers of Multiples club, of which Amy is the Chief Editor.
