The Fairchilds' Newest Arrival / Mother's Day Picnic / Dangling

On Sunday May 20 we had a one-week-late Mother's Day picnic at our place.  Grandma and Grandpa Fairchild, Dana, Devon Chris and Amanda, and of course Sugar, were good enough to make the trip up to East Hartford and spend a beautiful day with us.

Mom, Dad, and Sugar kicked back and enjoyed some shade.

Devon, only 6 weeks away from her due date (the first Fairchild little boy!), was surrounded by Amanda, Shelby, and Hayley, all wanting a sample of what was in her glass.  Dana was soaking up the nice afternoon sun.

Devon was soaking up some sun as well, with Amanda by her side.

Hayley, always in the mood for some action, decided to do some climbing.

Now it gets good!  Amy and Dad picked up some nice filet, swordfish steaks, and some shrimp, and sauteed the fish and shrimp perfectly.  Then Dad cooked them up to perfection on our new grill (our old grill died a horrible rusty death a couple weeks ago), and we enjoyed a fantastic meal.

This is a close up of the birdhouse in our back yard - it was given to us by my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bob for Christmas a couple years ago.  I couldn't get close enough to get a real good picture, but there are little baby birds in there - their momma bird was feeding them while we were eating lunch.
