Amy's Visit to Ted & Beth's / Our Visit to the Grandparents / The Girls / More of The Girls / Winter Snow / Weekend Away

Saturday February 3, 2001, Trish came and visited Amy and I.  But this isn't her!  We unfortunately didn't bust out the camera when Trish was around, so you'll have to just have to somehow make it through your day not knowing what she was wearing, what her hairstyle was, etc.  It's tough, I know!  But you'll pull through, somehow...

No, this is Wolfgang, down at my parents place in New Fairfield, where we went after Trish was done visiting.  Amy and I brought the chalupas down, and then dumped them on the Grandparents and went out to a nice quiet dinner.  As you can tell, Wolfgang missed us terribly.

We stayed over, and the next day was dedicated to just relaxing for quite a bit of the morning and afternoon.  Wolfgang led the way with his unparalleled relaxing skills.

His mastery of the couch raised the bar pretty high for the other professional relaxers in the house.

Sugar, for one, was up to the challenge, and put in a pretty darn good relax-o-rama.

And, of course, Grandpa George got in on the action, showing the dogs how relaxing is REALLY done - remote control, big screen TV, blanket, and electric-vibrating-heat-massage-thingy underneath.  Now THAT'S relaxing!

Before all the relaxing really got going, Dana and Devon and Amanda came by to visit.  I'll be putting some video of the girls playing together up on the web site shortly, so look for that on the Fairchild Family Audio and Video page.  Here Devon is giving Amanda some hugs as they are getting ready to leave, with Shelby looking on.  Hayley (who's bunny-slipper-covered feet you can see dangling) is getting some hugs from Auntie Dana.

This would have been a super cute picture had I not chopped Devon and Hayley's heads off - in any case its still a pretty cute picture of Hayley getting hugged goodbye by Devon while Amanda makes sure that her mom doesn't totally forget about her.

Amanda waving bye-bye to the cameraman (her uncle Eric), clutching her blankie.  The blankie is something that Amanda simply will go nowhere without.  On those occassions when it absolutely has to be washed, Amanda will escort Devon to the laundry room and make sure that it goes safely into the wash.  She'll then be the first to the laundry room when things are done to make sure that the blankie comes out okay.
